For Mentees

ProjectEd Mentorship Program is here to provide assistance for students who are seeking for advice along their tertiary education journey.

We believe that everyone’s experience is unique and worth sharing. Therefore, we created ProjectEd Mentorship Program to connect you, the aspiring undergraduate students, with the current undergraduate students who have been there and done that.

ProjectEd mentors are passionate about sharing their unique experience with anyone who is seeking for guidance. For secondary school student, our mentors are happy to guide you along your tertiary education journey. For university students, our mentors are also committed to share their unique experience in university and tips of getting scholarships.

We don’t keep track of time. The duration of the session depends on you and the mentor.

We undergo rigorous interview process to ensure the premium quality of our mentors. Our mentors are mostly undergraduate students/fresh grad who love to share their unique experience.

  1. Log in to the portal here.
  2. Click “Mentorship”.
  3. Click “My Mentors”.
  4. Click “Find A Mentor”.
  5. Click “Book” to schedule a mentorship session with our mentors.

1. Do some research on the topic that you would love to discuss before speaking to our mentors

2. Make sure you show up on time.

3. Prepare questions that you would to ask.

4. Have something to write notes on. For instances, a book or use notepad/ Microsoft word on your device.

The mentoring session is conducted can be either online or offline. It is completely up to the mentor. You can see the method of communication when you are creating a booking under ‘Mode Of Communication’.

Yes, all the mentorship sessions are free of charge. We believe in “Knowledge Is Free” and are committed to provide guidance for students who are striving to pursue their tertiary education dreams.

If a mentee misses a session without informing the mentors, the account will be blacklisted. If we blacklisted your account and you think we made a mistake – please email us at hello@projected.my.

For MentORS

Our mentors are volunteers who are passionate about providing guidance for students along their tertiary education journey. 

You may apply to be a mentor here.

If you have unique experiences in your tertiary education journey that worth sharing or tips on getting scholarships, you should join us as a mentor to create huge impacts in students’ life.

Our mentors are students/fresh grad who have recent experience in their tertiary education. They have been there, done that, and will be the most suitable person to guide you along your tertiary education journey.

As a mentor, you are able, but not limited, to offer services as listed below.

  1. Resume/CV Guidance
  2. Scholarships Application Guidance
  3. Scholarships Essay Proofreading
  4. Scholarships Application Mock Interview
  5. University Course of Choice (For instances, Aerospace Engineering, Accounting & Finance, etc)
  6. Universities Application by Country (For instances, Malaysia, Australia, UK, US, etc.)

Mentors are able to connect to other mentors and network.

  • Mentors can also be invited to speak at our exclusive events & workshops.
  • Mentors can also volunteer to help out with our social initiatives.
  • If mentors would like to share their experience through videos & articles, the ProjectEd team can invite you to be interviewed and featured on our website. 

As a mentor, you will be in-charge of your own availability and mode of communication. Set your own date and time for mentees to speak to you. There are 4 main ways to communicate with your mentees

  1. Skype
  2. Video Call (appear.in)
  3. WhatsApp call
  4. Face to face meet up

If you are not comfortable sharing your personal details, Appear.in will be your choice of communication.
